Frequently asked questions
Sign up for HelpShelf, create a project, and add questions and answers. Organize them into categories, customize the supported appearance controls, publish the content, and verify the hosted help center.
Yes. Paste or write FAQ content in the editor, import existing articles from Intercom, Zendesk, or Freshdesk, or push Markdown through the HelpShelf CLI. Direct Notion and Google Docs import are not shipped yet.
AI understands natural language, so customers can ask questions in their own words—not just search for exact keywords. AI also suggests answers from your content even when the question isn't an exact match.
Not yet — custom domains like help.yourcompany.com are on the roadmap, not shipped. Today your help center lives at your-slug.helpshelf.com with HTTPS handled for you, and the widget runs on your own domain, which is where most help interactions happen anyway.
You'll see what customers search for, which FAQs are most viewed, which searches return no results (content gaps), and how often AI successfully answers questions.
